Indwe Risk Services - An absolute disaster!

I have continued to be amazed at the complete lack of effeciency that I have received from Indwe.

On the 15th of December, 2016, my car was involved in an accident. I phoned Indwe on the morning of the 16th of December, and I was told to send a claim through on the following Monday. I completed all the relevant documentation within 2 days. An assessor viewed the car on the 23rd of December. Thereupon all the trouble began!

Firstly, Indwe claimed that they would not pay for the windscreen because of a previous crack - which I certainly don't remember nor have any record of. Secondly, I had to wait for an external investigator. He only arrived from EOH on the 18th of January and then took a week to submit his report. Then, following numerous phone calls and emails between myself and the panel beater appointed, the car was finally fetched on the 1st of February and I was promised the car would be fixed within 10 - 14 working days.

It is now the 24th of February. I have now had no car for 9 weeks (all of which time I have had to hire a car as my job requires it!) Apparently, further damage has been found on the car, and so I have been waiting for a week to get further approval from Indwe, but if based on the previous assessment, I don't have much hope of getting my car back before the end of March.

I cannot tell you the number of phonecalls and emails between me, the tow truck company, Indwe and the panel beating company. It completely boggles my mind how long this process would have been if I had not been following up weekly. I don't imagine I would have had a car for 6 months!!

During this time, my husband had an accident. His insurer, mutual and federal, booked the car in within the week and the car was fixed within 3 days. The contrast has been incredible!! Lets just say that I will be switching from Indwe as soon as my car is fixed, and all of my family (an additional 2 cars) will also be switching.

So my advice: stay away from Indwe!
