InDriver

As an InDriver i signed up when they were still in their teething stage... Needless to say, I didn't own a vehicle that was up to Uber and Taxify's standards... I worked long hard hours and saved up until I could afford to buy myself a reliable and roadworthy vehicle... It wasn't the latest model or the fanciest car but it was reliable and safe... Not some rust bucket the threatened to explode any second... InDriver allowed me to register my vehicle as it was a platform for the average working class passenger who couldn't afford the stiff rates enforced by other rival platforms, which you can imagine quickly made it popular... It allowed me to generate that extra bit of income every household so desperately needs in these dire times... However, I recently decided to upgrade my vehicle so as to make things more comfortable for my passengers... Once again, not the latest model car but yet, roadworthy, reliable and with a couple of extra safety features that my previous vehicle did not have... When I tried to register the car I was told by the InDriver team that my car doesn't meet the standards required by the platform to register my vehicle... Now one isn't elligable if one's car is older than a 2010 model... And I think to myself... how will the average working man be abled to afford the instalments on the vehicle, the maintenance and keeping up with the ever increasing price of petrol in comparison with the low fares one is forced to accept? Atleast InDriver's rival platforms enforce fares that makes it possible for the drivers to get by... InDriver however, even though they have made it possible for anyone to take a taxi at relatively cheap rates, are making ends meet practically impossible for their drivers... I have never once had a complaint from any of my passengers that my car isn't modern enough for them... But InDriver seems to have a problem with that... Thanks... I needed to vent... Rant over...lol
