Warranty issues
<p>I bought a FAW V2 sedan in 2014 from Imperial Select , cnr Skinner (nana-sita) & Schubartstr , Pta-Central. I heard a noise at the front and it seemed left front shock. I bought a new shock at the agents and put it in at Malas Tyres in Pta , because a shock is only warranty till 40-000.km and vehicle is now 61-000 km. The noise was still there and i took it to the agents workshop and they told me that it is the struts not the shock.It needs replacement and would be under warranty , but because the shock was (which is not relevant and they are fine with) was FITTED by another mechanic than theirs ,the warranty is now void and the cost is on me. Not happy</p>
Unfortunately as with any brands Terms and Conditions, should a non-approved supplier carry out repairs while the vehicle is still under manufacturers warranty, this will invalidate the factory warranty.
We will advise FAW SA Customer Care of your complaint.
