Waiting for spare key for 5 months

I bought my car on the 15th October 2014. I only received one key for the brand new car. The Polokwane branch said that the spare key got lost but they will order me a new one. It is now the 18th March and still I have not gotten my spare key. Every time i enquire, I am told that they ordered it from Germany. What am I going to do if I lost the only key I have?
