Unimpressed customer

I recently bought a 2nd hand 2019 Suzuki Baleno from Imperial Select Nelspruit . The vehicle was originally an Avis car which was obviously purchased by Imperial Select from whom I purchased it . I live in Johannesburg so I was relying on Imperial Select for all the details of the car . There were a few small scratches some of which I was shown in a picture .I did accept this as they looked very minor and its quite usual for a second hand vehicle . After purchasing the vehicle I wanted to get a quote on those small scratches . Upon inspection the panel beater informed me that the car was involved in some sort of bumper bash and had been painted(this panel beater is an approved repairer for Suzuki ). He pointed out that the paint job carried out on the car was of an inferior quality and he showed how the paint in certain places had bubbles forming underneath . This paint, he told me, eventually would start peeling off . I do need to point out that there is no structural damage and the car engine seems fine . Before I continue I would like to quote directly from the Imperial Select website "With Imperial Select you have peace of mind when you buy a car from us that all of our products and services are of the highest quality available to the motor car industry, and that you will be taken care of with the utmost professionalism and excellent before and after-sales service." So apparently bubbling paint is the "highest quality" , but lets continue . I contacted the dealer principle and I was asked to get a quote to fix the vehicle . I did so and sent it to him , I did not get any written response . I got a call from one of the other managers who told me that they would not be paying for any repairs , when I mentioned some of the paint is forming bubbles I was asked to send pictures which I did , He messaged me that he would get back to me shortly , its over a month and still no response .Through our discussion I asked why not just get Avis to repair the car as they were the ones who carried out the repair but alas it obviously isn't that important to try help a customer .Also I want to caution you regarding buying past Avis cars and just check very well there is no damage because in my case the repair was of no quality. I'm not gonna bore the reader but I had an issue with the upholstery at the back which I was told was in normal condition but Suzuki told me its not normal to be like that .

Anyhow here is a link to the consumer protection act https://www.miosa.co.za/doc/consumer-protection-act.pdf you can look at page 55 section 56 and decide for yourself what is correct practice in this case , according to my understanding (especially after my discussion with the a representative at the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa ) I have rights which are being dismissed and ignored .

 Good day Akiva

I've forward this complaint to the Dealer Principle at Imperial Select Nelspruit and copied in the MD.

I did copy you into the mail as well.
