THEFT!!

My car went to Multi Franchise on Tuesday (20 June 2017) for a misfiring. The car was sorted, and in the meantime my newspaper money was ****** from my car. It wasn't much, R40 or R50. They have sign boards there that states that all valuables should be removed from the vehicles. However, my newspaper money was in a little bank bag, rolled up and stashed away, hidden properly, yet for no-one to see. Someone must have gone through each and every little hiding space in my car to see if there is anything to *****.

The Manager Ruan told me "there isn't much I can do for you because we dont have a camera system in place and we are in the process of getting a camera system in place" So in other words, those sign boards that are up there, gives their employees the permission to ***** whatever is in your car. What if I forgot something in my car? Something that is of little rand value, but of alot of value to me? Does that also give their employees the permission to ***** whatever is in my car? I am livid!!

I will never in my life take my car to Multi Franchise ever again. If it means I have to sell my car to get a different make in order to not use their services anymore, I will do it!

Customers are advised to remove all valuables from their vehicles when going in for a service.

Unfortunately we live in times where temptations are forever present and would be difficult to pin point who the person is that removed this as various people would have access to your vehicle from the receiving point, through to technicians and cleaning staff.

The dealership cannot be held accountable for customer’s negligence of leaving items in their vehicles especially a small item that can removed in seconds and easily concealed.

This can happen at any place and not necessarily at our dealership as a human element is involved.

Please accept our apologies for what has transpired.

Kind regards
