Renault Centurion is ***********, dishonest and overcharges.

Renault Centurion is *********** and is overcharging their clients... I had a problem with my car not wanting to idle, I took my car to Renault Centurion to determine the problem. They stated the throttle body and it's motor is damaged and needs to be replaced and it will be R11 000 and it should be done in 3 days. I went in to talk to the mechanic. Where I saw the car was barely touched just hooked up to the diagnostics, when I asked the mechanic what was wrong. I could see he is very unsure and just stated the throttle body has to be replaced.

Later that day they call me to ask me to pay the whole amount before hand, I said I can't at that moment and they let it be. The following day I got a call stating my part did not arrive with the truck, but it will be there the next day. Come the next day I get a call stating the part was sent to an other center and that they now have to order an other part, but it will take 21 days for the part to arrive. I am heavily dependent om my car and can't work so long without a car.

When I went to collect my car, the representative had to discuss with the manager over fees, to get give my car back. As I refused to pay for the diagnostic as it is they that can't deliver a service in a timely manner and not me not wanting my to be fixed. I overheard the manager tell the representative "that is why I wanted him to pay before hand". Now in my head that means he knew there is going to be a problem to deliver the service and it would have been easier to keep my car if I have already gave them the money. If that is the case it is even more disgusting...

After I got my car I took it to eagle auto in valhalla, where they checked and repaired my car the same day for a total of R650. So Renault Centurion wanted to charge me R11 0000 for something that they couldn't properly described and take 3 weeks to complete, but I can take it somewhere else and get it done in a matter of hours for a fraction of the price and get a good explanation on what the problem was.

I will never in my life recommend Renault Centurion to anyone.
