Re: Chery QQ3 From Imperial Multi Franchise
Hi there
I hoped I would not have to do this but unfortunately I have to express my unhappiness.
It all started about a month ago when I app**** for finance on a Chery QQ3 I love the car. I was so excited to get a new vehicle as it would be my first new car, I asked many people about the Imperial franchise and all the reviews were very positive. I then decided to go ahead with a deal and based on my "research", I also found out that Imperial select are amongst the only motor dealerships that sell the car that I wanted the Chery QQ3, I love this car. I wanted the car to save me money on fuel and the monthly installment is also very affordable which is great, the Chery would also be my first new car. I should have stopped the pursuit of this car when I picked up problems with the new car on the showroom I saw rust spots on the bonnet and rusted wiper blades as well as rust on the exhaust pipe I mentioned it to the salesperson Darren and he assured me that those small issues will be taken care of before I take delivery should I buy the car. I asked for a test drive and when driving the car the brakes was extremely low and almost non existent but Darren the sale person said don't worry it will taken care of. Based on these assurances I said put the deal in motion and beside I had a Ford Figo that was giving me problems too so it would have been a wonderful change.
Darren was extremely helpful and kept my up to date when it came to whether I had taken delivery of the vehicle as from the time that I initially visited the dealership. Darren had actually moved branches and was no longer my sales consultant, Donovan was now dealing with me however Darren followed up with my almost daily to confirm the outcome of the transaction and to see how things were going.
I was asked to come and sign the paperwork and hand in my Ford Figo so the processing of the Settlement could get started, due to the fact that my vehicle wasn't ready I was given a courtesy vehicle until my car was ready. Just over a week later after me hounding the dealership about the whereabouts of my vehicle I was told that it was ready and they would come to my place of work to do the swop. I declined doing it this way as I wanted the deal to go through the way it had been done previously via the branch.
I went to collect my vehicle (24/03/2018) however the same issues previously mentioned had no been addressed. I saw my cute little car with a red ribbon on it and started doing the inspection on whether the issues had been addressed. The car wasn't cleaned on the inside and the rust marks on the wiper blade holders were still there, upon doing a test drive it ended up having the same problem with the brakes. My request to keep the rental car until my car was fixed was unfortunately denied, Donovan (Sales Consultant) mentioned that he needed the rental car back for another client, I was to test the vehicle and let him know about any problems.
Marius (Branch Manager) came to my Office in Woodstock (27/03/2018) to check the vehicle out, mentioned he would have a courtesy vehicle dropped off for me. Thursday the 29th after arriving at my daughters aftercare to pick her up, I then got back in the car with the intention of going home, my car didn’t want to start. I tried multiple times and there was nothing happening, no clicking noise just silence. I contacted Marius who said I should try to contact my Insurance to get assistance, after about 20 minutes I took a chance and it started. Saturday the 31st March I was on my way out, the car didn’t want to unlock and eventually when I got it to unlock the car didn’t want to start, I contacted Marius who was nice enough to come to my house to assist me with a jump start, immediately after I got started I went to Imperial select Diep River as Marius arranged a courtesy vehicle for me. The issues I had were the brakes, the rusted windscreen wiper holders, the windscreen wipers were stuck in the middle of my windscreen and I was struggling to get the car into first gear. There was a slight issue with the initial courtesy vehicle but after some time I was sorted out with a renault and on my way. My car was delivered to my office (05/04/2018) by John (I am unsure of John’s title) who showed me the new battery and that the wiper blades were fixed, no mention of my gear problem. Upon further inspection that afternoon my fiance found that there was a small crack in my windscreen, I text Marius to inform him of this and I sent him a picture. Since getting my car back I still struggle with the car going into first gear, I contacted Marius on the 9th informing him of my unhappiness and he said he would get back to me after he had a meeting with the DP. The following day I text him asking him about an update on what the outcome was with no response. A few hours later John contacted me and and said he was delivering a courtesy vehicle but he needed to clean it first and I should make a full list of all the errors with my car. I asked that Marius contact me first as I heard nothing from him regarding what his discussions was with the DP, Donovan then contacted me say that John was coming to me to which I disagreed and said that Marius needs to contact me before anything further happens. Marius then immediately contacted me and it turns out that the incorrect “Samantha” was contacted. Since my initial text about the windscreen crack, it has got slightly bigger and I am afraid that something bad happens. I have since contacted Israh Sait (Business Manager) via email and only she expressed her apologies and informed me that she has forwarded my email and verbally told him about my unhappiness. Not forgetting that I was assured that I would not be debited for 2 cars, two full installments. I had to make other arrangements in order to not let other companies debit my account to prevent getting a poor credit rating. I am not very happy about this. It's been a week and I am yet to receive my money back. My fiance recommended that I contact Hello Peter regarding this, he just doesn’t want myself and my daughter to be in any danger of widows blasting in our face .
I just to want to get rid of my problems iv been having with the Chery and move on. I want out at this point it has been a real an unpleasant experience thus far and i just want to move on..
Regards
Samantha
