Multiple electronic faults on a 1 year old Renault.

Motus Select Cape Town Having bought a demo model Duster, just over a year old and just over 30k km, and not even having it for a month, a whole slew of electronic issues started emerging the longer I had the car. "unfortunately when it comes to things like this it happens and no one can predict when it will happen" is all the salesman told me when asked about the issues, as surely at least some of them would have been there when the car was sold. Then when taking it back to the service center to have the faults checked, after almost a week without my car (Monday afternoon till Thursday afternoon) without even hearing anything back. When I followed up AGAIN on the Friday morning, there was no confidence that I would have my car back for the weekend, and upon asking if a courtesy vehicle could be made available, there was no response. Merely that the part has been ordered and I can have the car back until it arrives. The other issues were all "reset and tested ok". The very next day, the Saturday, the same issues presented itself again. So further diagnosis and troubleshooting is required, which would mean me being without my car again for goodness knows how long. Given the track record, probably days to weeks. Upon asking for a courtesy vehicle as I cannot have the inconvenience of being without my car again, I was told "Renault SA unfortunately will not assist with a courtesy vehicle for diagnosis" So, a car that is still well under warranty, with multiple electronic issues, bought less than 2 months ago. And Motus Select Cape Town is not willing to accommodate their customer at all to avoid a massive inconvenience.

Just goes to show again that customer service is so low on the priority list. Once the money has been made on the sale, they could not care less about you.

Currently I am awaiting a part, which they told me won't take less than 21 working days to arrive, and the rest of the faults "need further diagnosis" which would mean me being without my only car for who knows how long. A complete unwillingness to accommodate me and to try and relieve some of the inconvenience, is leaving me feeling very irate at the whole journey I have had with Motus Select Cape Town.
