Major Service Gone Wrong

On the 24th of November 2015, I took my car in for a major service. I then collected a car the very same afternoon, before taking the car during the handover by Johan(service advisor) I inspected the car and this were the wrongs I found.
1. The right rear light housing was loose, meaning quality assurance was not done after the car got finished to be serviced.
2. Started the car and began reving it, and I heared a foreign sound which I immediately asked why is the car doing that as its the first time hearing the sound and the technician said to us(my two colleaques) the turbo detachment from something I do not know. I therefore took the car and drove off. I used the vehicle to go to work thereafter which is approx 900m from where I stay. Later that week on Saterday I drove to Joburg and on my arrival I realised the car had begun to idle like its a diesel engine. I drove back from Joburg and took it in for a check up, but I did not receive a call throughout the whole day and only when I got there I was told that they need R4000 from me to st******* the engine. I asked them why would my car idle like that especially after the major service to this day they have not said a word.

Hello Themba25,

Your complaint has been referred to the Service Manager.

We apologise that they did not secure the loose housing at the time of service.

The mechanical failure could be related to the irregular servicing of this vehicle which has resulted in the warranty claim being rejected by the manufacturer.

They have however offered you a discount price on the parts which have to be ordered from France.

Kind regards,
