broken car

I bought a golf 6 gti at imperial select about 4 months ago, me trusting the reputable company that they are chose to buy my car there, I had the car for approximately 2 and a half months and the car broke down, the timing chain had snapped at 75000 km, it now had cost me R40 000 to repair this problem. I did speak to the branch manager about maybe helping me out with the bill but they felt it was not their responsibility and that I had to pay it all on my own.
