The first medical aid - from the employer that make you have co-payments on literally everything so the expenses are the same as having and external medical aid

This is the first medical aid where you have co-payments on literally everything that I had come across. I had a savings plan medical aid on a network basis private medical aid before going over to imperial med and sadly realized what poor benefits this service has and how much you pay vs how much co-payments there are which is actually does not benefit you as an employee to try and "save money" when you go over to the scheme because then you need to take gap cover with waiting periods as well. My previous medical aid paid for my whole maternity with little co-payments where Imperial med now just plain denies your claims and leaves the bill for you as employee while you are paying them for what? because of wrong ICD 10 codes? They let you as a member do all the calling work and sorting out instead of just advising the service provider to amend their claim for payment. Very poor service and realized it's much better to take an external medical aid as the expenses will be the same without all the co-payments. The call center staff as well - some of them are so short and rude it's embarrassing to think it's part of the customer service department.
