Curricula on the teaching of South Africas history

I am not in accord with Impaqs Grade 3 Life skills curriculum on how it teacbes South Africas history to our children. The presentation of these historical inaccuracies appear to be sensational and quite intentional. The curricula subliminally promotes historical misinformation that carry political connotations propagating the false idea that when European settlers first arrived in SA they found the land largely uninhabited. The teaching of this kind of politically laced history to our children is irresponsible and as a responsible parent I will not allow it to be taught to my child. Impaqs curricula is overall good as it gives us parents the ability to monitor and control the kind of educational content our children get exposed to. Impaq should however as an educational institution not allow itself to be used as a medium for spreading political propaganda and its curricula weaponized to indoctrinate our children. My view is that the issue of land in this country is a highly contentious one. The land question as it is often referred to, should be debated and engaged upon through proper platforms and with an intention to find an amicable solution. No educational institution should find itself compromised and seen to be advocating for a political idea or driving an agenda that has the potential to further divide this nation.
