Lack of urgency to process application leaving elderly people without electricity for much needed oxygen.
A new tenant moved into a unit belonging to me and app**** for services by Impact Metering. I have a copy of their application. They are elderly people, 82 and 76. The lady requires oxygen for which electricity is required. The application was sent in at 10:00 on 7/7/2022. Impact metering claim not to have received the application, even though it was sent to two of their email addresses. They will therefore not issue a ticket number for the power to be unblocked. I have a copy of their registration. To add insult to injury, the electricity is not managed by Impact as it is a pre paid meter that is registered with the City of Tshwane on my name. Purchase of power is directly from Tshwane. The blocking of meter is in all probability not legal. This is surely an abuse of consumer rights. In trying to press the urgency of the matter, I had the phone put down in my ear.
