Impact Meters - UP YOUR SERVICE
I have counted at least 17 e-mails that have gone backwards and forwards between myself and Impact meters since I initially sent my first email on the 28th November 2022 requesting the discontinuation of services for the 31st December 2022. The e-mailing back and forth started on the 28th November 2022 and today the 06th December 2022 I pray is the last one and that Impact does what they need to do to close this account
My first e-mail was sent on the 28th November 2022 at 15:14 requesting the cancellation of services. I phoned Impact on the 29th November 2022 and spoke to an employee, to ask if my e-mail had been received, she stated I needed to submit a discontinuation form, I said I am unable to access to Impact website to download the form, the message received “host site not available”. The employee emailed the form to me. I completed this and emailed it back to her with an electronic signature. Dudu rep**** and stated both signatories must sign, I created a second form with my signature on and submitted by email on the 29th November 2022. This was also an electronic signature. So now two forms had been submitted, one with my husbands signature and one with my signature.
I then received an email requesting copy ID documents and proof of banking details. This was emailed on the 03rd December 2022, under ID 150731.
On the 05th December reflecting ID 154243 I received an e-mail stating that electronic signatures cannot be accepted, albeit this is a common practice world wide now to minimise printing and to encourage a paperless environment.
I have studied the Impact Discontinuation form, the only additional document requested on this form is for Proof of Banking Details, which Impact would already be in possession of from when the account was opened.
Impact does NOT have a covering letter to go with the Discontinuation form that states: No electronic signatures will be accepted. Please send proof of banking details. Please send copies of ID’s. Please note all parties who are account holders must sign the Discontinuation form.
INSTEAD, one receives a disjointed and frustrating process in dealing with Impact Meters. We experienced the same service on opening the account and again now on closing the account.
The above will be placed on Hello Peter, Impact Meters - UP YOUR SERVICE DELIVERY. .
