Impact cant read numbers on a meter
I received my bill for August and saw I was charged R560 more for water and as sanitation is linked with this and I was charged almost R180 more as well. I immediately queried my account and was told it was probably a water leak. As the bill and readings are for the month before I checked my meter immediately and the reading was 24. They billed it as 48?! I have been trying to contact Hendrik at Impact since 20 Aug. His calls are screened but I was eventually able to speak to him on 3 Sept. He said other people also had a problem and he would sort out my account. I waited for the September bill - the reading was adjusted on their bill to 28 (invoice date 17 Aug). My reading (10 Sep) is 26 - so once again it was taken incorrectly. When I queried it again - I was told it was a water leak and that was why my bill was so high compared to other months but it is back to normal now. I had to pay R1000 EXTRA last month to avoid having my water and electricity cut. Now there is no credit on my bill, but I have to pay again. As the customer care people at Impact dont understand me - can someone in a management position - who can COUNT from 0 to 50 please call me ( ********** ). I have a problem with the readings taken and the people at Impact seem to think I have a water leak. This has nothing to do with a water lead. The meter readings were adjusted (incorrectly) and no credit was given or acknowledged - I consider this as theft. How can Impact just not consider the extra money I paid and adjust readings with no credit?
