Impact

I get my water from Impact & this is way beyond belief. Firstly, I live alone in a 1 bedroom apartment & apparently the City of Tshwane charges a minimum fee of R300.07 per month for an allotment of water whether you use it or not. Should you go over that allotment, you will be charged for additional usage - I have NEVER gone over the allotment. I pay my account on time every month for years but unfortunately I missed my payment in November 2024. I received a sms in December 2024 from Impact & immediately paid the account only to find out that they have charged me a R320 recommission fee. I have sent numerous e-mails to Impact to find out what this recommission fee is with no success. After numerous calls to Impact I eventually managed to speak to someone & the long & the short of it, Impact is charging me that amount for sending out 1 sms!!! Had Impact had the decency to check my account, they would have seen I always pay my account but *****ing R320 from me for 1 sms sent & 1 month late with payment, well, that is beyond unbelievable. Not only do we in Tshwane have to contend with the government/City *****ing from us regarding the water minimum charge, but it appears Impact has climbed onto that band wagon good & solid too.
