Appalling Service and Unfair Practices by Impact Meters Services

I am beyond frustrated with the ongoing poor service and completely unacceptable business practices from Impact Meters Services. For years, they have consistently estimated my meter readings rather than taking actual readings, citing my dogs as the reason for not accessing the meter. However, my dogs have not been at the property for nearly a year. Had Impact Meters conducted regular due diligence, they would know this, or at the very least, they could have made proper arrangements.

Things took a turn for the worse when they blocked my electricity meter after a single late payment and charged a re-commissioning fee, which I paid without dispute. However, the service didn’t stop there. They were late to reconnect my electricity, forcing me to go without power for a full night and working morning. I had to make multiple phone calls just to get any assistance, which was incredibly frustrating.

Even more shocking was their response to the deposit increase. They claimed that the increase was in line with their policy and the contract’s terms and conditions, which they refused to share. The only reference to the terms and conditions was a vague statement in clause 18 of the contract, leaving me with little to no clarity about how the deposit amount was determined. Despite multiple requests and escalations for an explanation, I received no clear answers and was left with no choice but to pay the increased deposit just to resolve the issue.

It seems clear that Impact Meters is abusing its position in these sectional titles, showing utter disregard for customer service, fairness, and transparency. Their business practices are dishonest, and they make no effort to properly communicate or explain their actions. I would strongly advise anyone dealing with them to tread carefully, as their lack of professionalism is astounding.

I am thoroughly disappointed and angry with their actions and will be seeking alternative solutions for my utility services moving forward.
