Insane custom charges

I asked my niece to place an order for me from shein. The order was less than R1600, they charged R1344.6 for customs. When she laid a complaint they reduced the amount to R500 of which its still ridiculous. They are day light ******s. Shein should look into this otherwise they'll lose business because of this company or rather give us an option to choose a logistic company.
