No internet
I have been sitting with an issue for the past few months (4+). Where my internet just drops for no apparent reason. I have a 25MB uncapped fibre line. The line is provided by MetroFibre and the Internet Service Provider is Imaginet. How’s tier provider is Axxess. Numerous calls and emails have been logged with the ISP to get this issue fixed. It started with a disconnect once a month and then it would take them 24hours to get the internet back on. Already poor service considering other providers I work with take about 2hours to get the internet back up and running. In the past 30 days, the internet has gone off 3 times (29th Des 2020 down for 48hours+, 7th of Jan 2021 down for 48hours+ and now 15th Jan 2021 down and still down 4 days and counting) MetroFibre has sent out a technician and to have a look at the line and could not find any fault. So, the fault must be with the ISP and their tier provider. Now they can not figure out wat is causing the issue nor how to fix it. I have since decided to cut out all the middlemen and get my fibre line and internet directly form MetroFibre. But get this now the ISP and tier provider refuse to release the line so that MetroFibre can take full control. Forcing me to pay for a service I am not receiving and not been able to fix the issue. Correct me if I am wrong but this is against the consumer protection act. Also not once have one of the managers from my ISP contacted me to discuss the issue. Although I have been promised on numerous occasions that a manager would contact me. This is unacceptable service and I feel that I should be refunded for services pay but not received and the line should be released immediately from the ISP and tier provider without any penalties payable.
