Unacceptable service to small informal trader’s and bullying of our rights by not communicating also holding our last funds to feed our family.

*1/5 stars - Unacceptable Service and Lack of Transparency*

I'm extremely disappointed with Ikhokha's handling of my funds. After a legitimate transaction (with pin verification), they held my funds without clear explanation. I called the next day, and they requested unnecessary documentation, which I provided. Despite multiple follow-ups, I've received no feedback or resolution.

It's unacceptable that I'm being treated like this, especially as a small, informal business. I feel like they're taking advantage of my lack of formal structures. I've sent emails, but they've gone unanswered. As a client, I expect better service, especially when I'm trying to feed my family.

Ikhokha, sort out the issue with my funds. I'm not asking for a favor; I'm demanding my rightful payment. Their lack of communication and transparency.

Dear iKhokha Team,

I've expressed my frustration and concerns multiple times, providing all necessary information and explanations about my business. It's disheartening to see my issues being downplayed and not taken seriously. As an informal trader, I operate differently, and it's unfair to expect me to have the same structures as formal businesses.

Your team requested documents I don't have, and now it feels like I'm being penalized for not meeting those expectations. I've shared my story, provided pictures, and explained my situation, but it seems like I'm not being heard.

I'm not just a client; I'm a small business owner trying to make ends meet. Treating me like an outsider isn't acceptable. I'm asking for understanding and support, not just a generic response.

I expect a more personalized approach and a resolution to my issue. It's time to listen to informal traders and understand our challenges.

Best regards,
Andiswa Antoni

Dear iKhokha Team,

I appreciate your apology and acknowledgement of my concerns. However, I'm still unclear about the specific requirements. Can you provide a quote from the merchant agreement or guidelines stating that informal traders must collect customer details and signatures for every transaction? I'd like to understand the expectations.

Regarding customers refusing to provide personal info, what's the protocol? Should I risk losing a sale or compromise on security?

You mentioned attempting to contact me, but I provided my number early in the week and didn't receive a call. It's disheartening to see similar requests being made despite my explanations.

I'm willing to cooperate, but I need clarity on these points. I've already explained my business operations and limitations. Can we discuss this further via phone? I'm available to talk tomorrow afternoon or Thursday morning.

Please provide a specific contact number and I'll ensure I'm reachable.

Thank you,
Andiswa Antoni

Dear Ikhokha Team,

I'm writing to express my extreme frustration and disappointment with the handling of my claim. Despite multiple emails and explanations, I've been met with silence since last week Friday (13 March 2026). My funds are still being held, and I've received no communication or updates.

As an informal trader, I'm trying to make a living for my family. Holding my funds without justification or communication is unacceptable. I've cooperated fully, providing required documents and explanations. Your lack of response is unprofessional and feels like bullying.

I demand an immediate update on my claim and release of my funds. I'm no longer willing to negotiate or discuss this further. I expect prompt action to resolve this matter.

My claim number is ***. I expect a response today.

Sincerely,
Andiswa Antoni

Title: Unacceptable Treatment of Informal Traders - Ikhokha's Bullying Tactics Exposed 🚨

I'm writing this review as a desperate plea for help. Ikhokha's handling of my claim has been a nightmare. Since 07 March 2026, I've been clear about the documents I have and don't have. Despite this, they've repeatedly asked for the same documents I don't have, showing blatant disregard for my time and situation.

Their process is a never-ending cycle of requests, silence, and excuses. My funds are still held, and my business is suffering. I've involved Hello Peter, but Ikhokha only responds when publicly shamed.

As an informal trader, I feel bul**** and unheard. Ikhokha's actions will push small businesses like mine into debt. It's time for change. I demand better treatment and release of my funds.

Rating: 1/5 stars

Update: I've escalated this to Hello Peter and other platforms. The public will see how Ikhokha treats informal traders.
