DO NOT expect Ikhokha to honor their products
1: On Saturday 2 April, upon opening my shop, and switching on the Ikhokha Card machine, (with a R 3000-00 purchase price.....) an error message read “Invalid keys”. I phoned Ikhokha “Helpdesk” and was told that it normally happens when a machine was dropped. Via telephone, we agreed, that I will take CLEAR pictures of every corner and surface, to show IF there are ANY damages to the machine and email it to them, to expedite the failure. To show any possible dents / cracks etc. (And there ARE NONE - NOT a SINGLE ONE.) As it was Saturday, no one could assist, but it would be escalated, Monday, 4th of April. 2: I phoned again on Monday and was told my email was forwarded and a claim reported, as the card machine is still under guarantee. “They will get back to me”… Today, Thursday 7 April, I phoned the “so-called “HELPDESK” again. Whilst speaking to the “Helpdesk – person” I heard a lot of noise on the phone and asked the person what it was, as it makes it difficult to hear her. Explanation? “other people also speaking to other clients etc – the problem is: That it was clear that the operator was busy with other stuff / Operating something else, etc. I requested to speak to a senior person / MANAGER / SUPERVISOR, but not only did she REFUSE to transfer me to any senior person, (Any and ALL of them were unavailable…) but she also persist in trying to “overspeak” me into accepting her attitude. SO, I ended the call. 3: I then phoned Wendy, who initially assisted me with the sale of the machine, also asked to speak to a SENIOR person, and Rinolan almost immediately available. Senior? I do not know. But funnily enough – IMMIDIATELY available…. However, I was told, although my complaint forwarded, that there still was NO feedback regarding IF the machine will be replaced or not. Not only does my customers get the inconvenience a VERY EXPENSIVE CARD MACHINE not available, but they also walk out and I lose sales. Does Ikhokha really think this is such a JOKE that they can afford the attitude of “this IS NOT URGENT??” – Especially with the damages COVID did? I will NOT at all advice any other party into buying ANY Ikhokha product – my experience should be a warning enough. Maybe Yoko or any BANK machine would have been a better option, from the beginning. SO - Ikhokha, what will the next excuse be?
