Be careful of iKhokha. The story told above shows exactly how they treat their customers!
iKhokha charged my business for "Data fees" after more than two years for R49 per month, which apparently was for a sim card fee. The sim card was used in a card machine, which was used for the last time during April 2021. This machine then got ****** and was never used again.
iKhokha did charge me for sim card fees for the last time in January 2021, when that same card machine was used for card transactions. Fortunately, I had a spare card machine, which do not require a sim card. When I did a couple of transactions on this machine a couple of weeks ago, with transactions totaling more than R1000, I only received R144 from iKhokha, after their deductions.
With more investigation, I found that they deducted R980 for their so called "Data fees". This happened after they didn't bother to send any bills requiring payment for the "building up" of "Data fees" since the January 2021 account. They did offer to pay back R490, which they incidentally did.
If you follow the logical reasoning, they were supposed to have refunded the entire amount of R980 as they had no initial intention of recovering their "lost income" if they perceived it to be a lost income. This was extremely bad treatment by a supposedly respectful company. I don't intend continuing my relationship with them, unless they are prepared to refund the remaining R490 too. They have been requested to do so and so far they have declined.
Kind Regards,
The iKhokha Team
