Breach of Lease Agreement

Acquiring a rental apartment through IGRow has been a complete nightmare. My experience has been extremely disappointing, unprofessional and financially burdensome.

The application process alone took 2 weeks, followed by an additional 2 weeks before I received my lease agreement. During this time, I had to continuously follow up with the assigned agent, Mark Du Toit, who provided minimal to no communication. According to the signed lease agreement, I was scheduled to move into the apartment on the 1st of December 2025. However, this did not happen. There was no communication from IGrow regarding key collection, and on the day of my planned move, I was informed that the previous tenant had left furniture in the unit, preventing occupation. By this point, I had no alternative accommodation arranged and had already incurred unexpected expenses directly caused by IGrow’s internal mismanagement.

Two days after my missed move-in date and no resolution in sight, I made the decision to terminate the lease agreement and request a full refund. I was then informed that IGrow intends to withhold the lease fee, claiming it was for lease preparation, despite the fact that; - The lease agreement was not honoured - I experienced significant inconvenience, stress and unexpected costs - The failure to provide the apartment as agreed was entirely due to IGrow’s own internal errors.
