Please investigate ***** at Iemas
Member number: ********** .
I app**** for a loan on the 29 April 2018, it took more than week to finalise everything. The processes are very long and tiring. I finaly signed a contract on the 06/04/2018. I was suppose to get the payment on the 10/04/2018. On the day that i was suppose to receive the money, i received a call from a woman ( ********** 030), she told me that she was calling from Iemas she wants to confirm my information because they are busy with the payment transactions.
She had all my information, everything that i completed on the form and she asked all the questions that the i was asked telephnically before i got the contract. She also told me that the money will be in my account in the afternoon. She told me to give her the cell number that i use on my internet banking, pin number for internet.
A few hours after receiving the call, i decided to call the person who was assisting me with my loan application and told him that i received a call from someone from Iemas who wanted to verify my banking info. He told me that everything was processed on the 9/04/2018, i was not suppose to receive any calls from Iemas because the process was completed, he does not understand why i received the call. He asked me to hung up, he wants to ask his manager about the call that i received, he will comeback to me. He called me back and asked me to give him the number that called me, i gave him the number, then he told me that the number is not from Iemas, someone is trying to **** me. I must run to the bank and close/freeze my account because these people might take my money. Because they had some complaints from (your) clients saying the same thing.
I went to the bank fast, luckily the money came while i was still in the bank, the consultant opened another account and transferd the money. Later on that day, i received an sms from vodacom saying that i have been trying to do sim swap since midday. If its not me i must press 1. I called vodacom sametime, they told me that several sim swap requests were attempted since midday, i told them to cancell the requests because it wasnt me. I also received calls from private numbers.
Someone who works at Iemas is working with people from outside to commit theft and *****. Who knew that i am going to receive money from Iemas and at what time? How many people are going to fall victims into their trap?, people will stop applying for loans at Iemas, it is also going to reflect badly on the name of the company. I dont think i will also apply for loan again at Iemas, because if i wasnt so lucky, those people were going to take my money, then pay for a loan that i didn't even receive.
This is sad and scary. How are we even going to trust your staff, because if even if the right people call us, we are not going to entertain them, because of what i went through. Please investigate this matter because other people will not be so lucky, this people will take their money and they will pay for loan that they did not receive. And if those people are able to get access to my personal information, it means that Iemas is not safe and our information is also not safe. I am very disappointed, and i work at one of your employer groups.
My contact number is ********** 120/ ********** 368.
