iMasFinance
Based on recent customer reviews, iMasFinance is drawing heavy criticism around policy cancellations, membership fees and premiums that continue deducting from salaries or bank accounts after members request termination. Clients report unexplained vehicle instalment and interest increases, delayed reserve and rewards fund refunds, unresolved settlement and paid-up letters, and slow insurance claim or car hire support. Contact centre queues, WhatsApp agents and unreturned manager escalations are frequent frustrations. A minority praise individual consultants at Secunda and in loan consolidation for professionalism, patience and prompt, knowledgeable follow through.

When using your whatsapp line, am I speaking to a bot or a real person? I spoke to Adeline whether my vehicle has cover for someone to open my vehicle, like a locksmith. She responded by saying Imas couldnt help but Im allowed to get someone to help. Well thats the most obvious thing. Am I going to simply stare at the car and will it to open?

My name is Mulalo Mutswana (ID Number: ***). On 14 October 2019, I entered into a vehicle finance agreement with Iemas Financial Services to finance a 2014 BMW 1 Series, Engine Number: A966J649 and Chassis Number: WBA1A12010VZ05156. Unfortunately, I later fell behind on my repayments. On 14 May 2025, Potpale Investments (RF) (Pty) Ltd issued a Warrant for Delivery of Goods, and the vehicle was repossessed. My concern is that when I check my credit report, the outstanding balance owed to Iemas Financial Services still reflects the same amount as before the vehicle was repossessed. Could someone please explain how this process works? I would like to understand whether the proceeds from the sale of the repossessed vehicle should have reduced the outstanding balance, and why my credit report still reflects the full amount. I would appreciate your assistance and clarification. Thank you.

Extremely Poor Service from IMAS Finance- I experienced extremely poor service from IMAS Finance. I contacted the call center while at the licensing office to request an urgent letter required to proceed with a vehicle ownership change. Despite calling three times, I did not receive any meaningful assistance. I was given inconsistent information, including being told that the NaTIS department does not have phone access and only operates via email. Even after clearly explaining the urgency of the matter and requesting escalation to a manager, my request was not taken seriously. Instead, I was repeatedly placed on hold and transferred between consultants, without resolution. As a result, I am now required to take additional time off work to revisit the licensing office once the letter is eventually received. I interacted with Simba, Mpho, and Petunia, none of whom made a sufficient effort to assist or escalate the issue. This experience is particularly disappointing, especially considering that IMAS Finance does not offer ownership transfer assistance (unlike many other financial institutions), yet is also unable to provide customers with the necessary documentation to complete the process independently.Furthermore, this is not my first negative experience. When I settled my vehicle, I also encountered delays and had to follow up multiple times to receive my original documents. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of service and lack of customer support. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend IMAS Finance. I have now resorted to submitting an email request and can only hope for a timely resolution so I can conclude my dealings with this institution.

For 23 years at my previous employer, iMas has loyally taken stop orders for iMas short-term insurance, HP (when I had financing by them), and Sanlam policies. There were never any serious discrepancies or disputes, and I was generally satisfied with their service. However, since January 2026 everything has turned pear-shaped when I started new employment. iMas has continued to take stop orders from my new employer, but Sanlam has been inundating me with emails stating that my policies are at risk of lapsing since premiums were not being received. Upon asking for advice from Sanlam, it came to light that iMas was at fault for marking the funds as "unallocated". When asking iMas to address the issue, a representative had the foulest attitude saying that he is not willing to assist because I had already taken the matter to the NFO. When I explained to him that the case at the NFO was closed (since iMas does not fall within the NFO's jurisdiction), he blatantly "excused" himself from further assistance. I strongly advise anybody to reconsider if they intend doing business with iMas. I shall also be terminating all business with iMas.
