Beware IEMAS interest rate increase 9.5 to 17%

Today I received my statement from IEMAS and low and behold what a shock to my system to find out that IEMAS has increased my interest rate on my loans from 9.5% in September 2015 to 17% in October 2015 without informing me.

Beware to loan any money from IEMAS - I can still get 9.5 % loan from my personal bank.

Rather move your money to your personal bank at lower interest rate of 9.5%

On a loan of R160,000 it is going to cost you R700 more a month - that is a big chunk of money

Hello Amfs,

Dear Aletta,

According to our records two loans were taken out with Iemas by yourseld within three months of each other in 2013.
The first loan was for home improvement at an interest rate of 9.5% and the second was a personal loan at 17%.

There was no jump in interest rates, the two separate interest rates are 9.5% and 17% respectively.

We hope this clears up your misunderstanding and we are happy to get a Credit Controller to contact you to explain it more thoroughly if you so wish.

Sincerely,
Iemas Financial Services
