The sheer audacity of this company to send an email on behalf of Vodacom to our deceased relative's attorney without even investigating the fact that the account had been settled almost 2 years ago. I sent them an email with the confirmation that Vodaom had received the payment, together with a demand for an apology. They confirmed that the matter had been closed but to date I'm still waiting for the apology. So before you panic make sure these idiots know the facts!!!!!

This firm and Boodle are very ************. I paid my loan in full on the 4th of June and yet I was still handed over. I suspect it’s because IDA wants to charge costs to my account even though my loan is now settled and my account should be updated!

Kindly note that I am becoming extremely frustrated with the manner in which my account is being handled by IDA LAW. Boodle handed over my accounts to IDA LAW, and I have always made every effort to honour my payment arrangements. I successfully settled one account last year and currently have two remaining accounts: *** and ***. I have been consistent with payments towards account *** and have never missed a payment. On 31 May 2026, when making my payment, I mistakenly captured the reference number incorrectly by entering a “4” instead of an “8” in the reference ***. Despite this error, I immediately forwarded the proof of payment and clearly explained that there had been a single digit error on the reference. The payment was still linked to the same ID number and should therefore have been traceable and allocated accordingly. Unfortunately, I received no response to my communication. Instead, I continue to receive final demand notices and threatening correspondence, while my proof of payment is seemingly being disregarded. With regard to the second account, I previously made it clear that once I complete payment on the current account in June, I will then begin making payments towards the second account. I am currently experiencing significant financial difficulties and am doing the best I can under the circumstances. I kindly request that the payment be urgently investigated and allocated correctly, and that consideration be given to the communication and arrangements already provided.

I settled my account in 2024, and have been requesting for a paid up letter since however, this company seems unbothered and until this day I haven't received any paid up letter from them. Yet, they have acknowledged they received my payment, I don't understand the delay, lack of communication and terrible service as this impacts one severely where it impacts one's livelyhood. I'm trying to apply for housing and have had no luck as the account still shows on my credit profile. I've attempted calling, emailing and made multiple requests via WhatsApp. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the service.

The deceased's father came to us to find find out about the process of the estate. That was it, please note that his ex-wife was supposed to obtain appointment as executor. Neither we or the other family has something to do with this estate, but IDA Law keep on sending us mails after we informed them to stop as it is not our estate. This is their mail : We have reported the estate of the late Phillippus Marais *** to the Master's Office. However, no executor has been appointed yet. To move forward, the family needs to nominate an executor (a family member or professional). We can assist with the nomination form and process at no cost to you. Please let us know if: o You wish to nominate someone o You need guidance or the nomination form

IDA Law is useless, lazy and rude staff. I went to the emergency unit @ Life Hospital | Kingsbury Hospital Claremont, Cape Town on the 01.01.2025 for a short visit with extreme Dehydration. I left the unit on the same morning after 4 hours. I emailed Life Hospital the following week in January 2025 to ask if all the payments were settled and received NO RESPONSE. 9 months later in October 2025, I received an SMS saying that I owed the Hospital R200.10 - which I visited Kingsbury hospital and paid in person on the 28 October 2025. In November, I was called by IDA Law saying that I owed the hospital an outstanding amount of R200.10 to which I rep**** that it has been settled they asked for a proof of payment which was sent to them on the same day via email. I have been harassed by IDA Law with calls every week to tell me that the amount is still outstanding to which I always reply that the amount has been paid and followed up with a further 3 emails with Proof of payment attached - every time the employees on the phone call add that they will escalate the matter and update the system. This hasn't been done and I'm still being harassed by IDA LAW and it's over a year later than when I visited the hospital. IDA LAW have rude, unhelpful employees and no accountability has been shown even after I expressed that I have done what they have asked me to do on numerous occasions. UNACCAPTABLE!

WOW! Vodacom and their collection agent, Ida Law sucks! It's very easy for them to escalate accounts to collection companies. However, when a client pays to settle that account, there are no systems in place to make sure that the payment is transferred to Vodacom. As we speak, I made a payment on 24 December 2025 to Ida Law, with the hope that by 2 January at the very least the money will be reflecting on my Vodacom account. Since then, I have been calling both Ida Law and Vodacom daily to find out why the money is not reflecting on my vodacom account. I have heard different answers from the different call centre agents I had the misfortune to talk to. Had I known that this will take this long to clear I would have enjoyed the festive season and made the payment at teh end of January! I have regrets on another level! Vodacom and Ida Law. Please get your houses in order. We the clients are suffering while you both don't know what is happening with your transfer mechanism!!!!!!
