Worst Customer Experience - Hyundai
On Tuesday 19 June a bolt by the oil filter snapped on my Hyunday Grand i10.
The timing belt came off and all the oil drained from my car.
We called Hyundai Diep River in Cape Town and advised them of what happened. We called our insurance company to tow the car to the workshop.
Upon checking the car Hyundai established that is was a manufacturer fault and this does happen.
1stly, the car is 3 year old and this shouldn't happen. 2ndly we do have warranted but they said we must pay for the service because we missed a service now warrantee won't work. 3rdly, when the car went for the 15k service we were advised by Hyundai not to bring the car back for the 30k service.
Now due to that our warrantee won't cover the service hence us having to pay R4.5k cash for the car to be released. 4thly, we weren't offered a courtesy car and in me and my wife's line of work, and commuting the kids to and from school, this wasn't even offered to us.
The workshop manager had to call me back Friday and never did so.
This morning, Saturday 23 June, I had to call just to hear they forgot to call me and the workshop is closed.
I can now only get my car on Monday after having to go make a loan to get the funds together.
This is the worst service and company I had to deal even though my clients, family and friends warned me NOT TO DEAL with Hyunday Diep River and the brand in general.
Really ****ed off and will be taking it further
