Windscreen Crack
On the 25th of April 2023, I took my car in for service, at the Hyundai Centurion branch and my vehicle returned with a huge crack on the windscreen.
When I took my vehicle in on the day, they inspected it and no faults were reported or found. Upon collecting the vehicle later that afternoon, I noted a big crack on the windscreen as I was driving out, the dealership did not even report it to me when I was collecting my keys.
I then returned to the offices and enquired about the crack and they were shocked that it had happened. After the service consultant walked to my vehicle with me to see the crack, she then advised that there was nothing the dealership could do, as they do not cover such "accidents". I then requested to speak to the manager, Ian, and all he did was apologize for the inconvience and then said there was nothing they could do, as my windscreen allegedly had stone chips as he stood there and examined it.
When I brought the car in earlier that morning, the stone chips I was told about later, were not mentioned and/or recorded on the job card when the vehicle was inspected, which then means my car was in perfect condition when it was taken in for service.
I cannot be liable for the dealership's neglegence and I need my vehicle's windscreen to be returned to the state inwhich it was, when the car was taken in for service.
