What a fairy tale ... Once Upon a Time

A fairy tale is going out with a bang !!!! My biggest gift my husband has given me, apart from my wedding ring was 5 yrs ago when I got spoiled with a brand new IX35 4RDW. I had the shakes after we went for breakfast and walking out of the coffee shop there was a IX35 standing outside in front of the coffee shop in Jeffrey's Bay. My son in law told me look Ma there is a car that you would like. Needless to say my hubby open the door and told me to take a seat behind the wheel. I said no I can not just get into this beauty what will the owner say. Then the key was handed to me...... Tears of joy started to flow. My Hyundai Elantra for the last 13 yrs was still parked in a parking bay only 3 cars away. I was so emotional that I got out of the IX35 straight to my "Dragon Lady"which has never let me down.. no hassles and always willing to speed on the open road. My poor son in law had to drive the new "baby" home. And now the sad part.... 5 years later I phoned Ford, Humansdorp to book my last service on my maintenance plan which will be expire on the 4/5/2016. The gave them a call on the 3/5/2016 and the service department told me that they will only be able to help me on the 13/5/16. I told her that the service plan expire on the 4/5/2016. That was the earliest that they could help me. This morning I took my "pannekoek" in for the service........ At 12.30pm today I get a phone call from the garage to inform me that the service will be give and take about R5000.00. I told the gentleman that is not acceptable because I did told them that the service plan is expiring. Well he is sorry but I will have to pay for this service...... He said that they will send an email to Hyundai because they can not change the date on the maintenance plan. And now for me it is sit and wait....... weekend is coming up. I am also disappointed in Hyundai that they did not even phone me earlier to see if I want to extend the maintenance plan. I always just had good to say about a Hyundai vehicle but for now I DO NOT THINK SO!!!! Next time you buy a vehicle ..... think about the after service and base your choice on that. Do not end up like my fairy tale falling to pieces.
