Warranty Loopholes
Hyundai Pinetown -- do not honour there obligations so its pointless saying you give a client 5 years warranty, when you find every excuse under the sun not to honor a claim . So my dad purchased a car in Jan 2016. His vehicle gear box packed up a few days ago. Pinetown branch calls him, to inform him the warranty expired Sept 2020. But he bought and took ownership of the vehicle under 5 years ago. The other issue is they say he did not service his vehicle on time - no one disclosed that it must be within a year or 15 000 km whichever comes 1st and he also did not service on time . But he did service at 12 250 km, then at 23 946 km and then at 37 670 km. Not diligently within the year as this was never disclosed to him or to me. They have found loopholes to not fund the gear box replacement from his warranty . This is an 85 year old man. When you do not disclose properly the terms and conditions, then this is related to the sales and information shared, and not a fault of the customer . Also each time he serviced his vehicle he was not advised otherwise . When I tried to call on his behalf and I was sent from service consultant , to sales executive now told to speak to workshop manager . No one wants to take responsibility. Each person does not know what transpired or cannot access the information, so the other attempt is to make it as frustrating as possible to get through to someone to address your issues .
