Very bad service
I had my vehicle towed to Hyundai Umhlanga on 25/10/2018 , the brake pipe was cracked and I was told it was torn and not covered under the warranty parameters , the mileage was 256km.
My Vehicle was just seven days old and is covered under the factory warranty and I do have roadside assistance and had this repair been carried out under the warranty parameters I would not have had to pay that amount due .
Needless to say that very same part had a defect just five months later and was towed in again to Hyundai Umhlanga, my service advisor told me that I had to pay cash once again as this is not their fault and is not covered under the warranty parameters . I have read my manuals and service book and it clearly states all parts purchased carries 1 year/20 000km warranty, surely Andrew should have known this and processed the repair accordingly, here again the expense was mine to bare .
I am now looking at trading in this vehicle as I believe I was not treated with the respect and dignity that should be awarded to Hyundai customers . It is either the staff at Hyundai Umhlanga are not well informed or they take advantage of individuals like myself. I am really disappointed at the way this matter was handled and I would like feedback in regards to the repair polices not only at Hyundai Umhlanga but Hyundai as a whole as this entire matter doesn’t seem to be carried out with the proper policies and procedures in place.
Kind regards ,
