********* practice/ inferior product
I bought a hyundai tucson 1.6 turbo a week ago, a day later after fetching the car my wife went to drop me off at the airport, on her way back she heard a strange noise , she contacted me to let me know. Two days later I returned and also heard the noise I notified the sales consultant because we had to book the car for pre-existing scratch marks on the car and I asked him to check what is causing the noise. at first they told me they could not hear the noise. I met with the technician and sales man to take the car for a test drive and there was no noise when the technician was driving, I asked to take over the driving and the noise started. The technician said he could not tell where the noise is coming from or what it was, based on previous experience with another car I mentioned it might be tyres. The technician then said he would check the tyres when we arive at workshop which he did and suggested other areas of two tyre were flat and that he would call head office for permission to have the tyres tested.
The next morning I received an email from the sales consultant who advised that the car was taken to tygerwheel and tyre. Later just after lunch I received another email confirming that there was nothing wrong with the wheels however they would get hankook the manufacturers to check them again. I emailed back querying if the tyre expert confirmed there was nothing wrong with the tyres then why check them again, I then requested a courtesy car similar/same as my new car and also the t's and c's of driving their courtesy car since they had given a i20 for the previous two days . I was told there was no cocourtesy car same the car i bought the they also emailed t's and c's as requested. I called the sales man asking for the general manager in charge of the branch and the feedback I received was that he has told his staff that they should not give clients his contact details. Very shocking as it would seem this person is happy to take our money but not willing to own up to his defective products, I proceeded to ask for the CEO's details and am waiting.
I am a frustrated client who had never enjoyed his car since day one , my worry though is that I will be given a runaround until I'm told I caused the problem where else the car is not even a week old and having mechanical problems. I will definitely seek legal advice on this matter. As for hyundai you have no sense of customer service and lack ethics.
