Stranded by Hyundai

About 2 weeks ago the paint on my Hyundai Creta started peeling off. I took it for an assessment to Hyundai Bryanston.I was informed by one of the workshop staff that this was a common occurrence. The problem was assessed and a quote obtained to fix the problem. Hyundai have accepted responsibility for the defect and have agreed to repair the vehicle. The only problem is they are saying that they need the vehicle for up to 10 days. I have no alternative means of transportation and I need my vehicle to get to meet clients and to view suppliers product. As their defective wormanship has resulted in me not having transportation for a week to 10 days I asked them to supply me with a courtesy car. Hyundai South Africa directed me to Hyundai Bryanston who informed me they do not supply courtesy vehicles. In fairness to them it is a Hyundai South Africa problem and not Hyundai Bryanston problem. I note with extreme irritation that the byline of their email is we want to make our customers happy. I am definitely not happy as I can't be without a vehicle for 10 days. I am not prepared to hire a car at my expense. Not a good experience at all.

What I need is for Hyundai to deal with the consequences of their defects and rectify the situation by supplying me with transportation while they fix the shoddy paint finish

Just to give credit where it is due. Jan dealer principal of Hyundai Bryanston stepped in to the breach and saved the day. Big thank you for going the extra mile
