Sour deal on a second hand car. I wish they could advise us better.

Okay... so I am more than a little disappointed... and a little perplexed.

The dealership's service was friendly and excellent... however... the deal that I received has some anomalies that I am not sure was fair.

So... I bought a second hand BMW from a Hyundai dealership. (Which I really thought was an excellent deal).

The dealership also told me that they will be paying for a 6 months duration on the motor plan, which will include 1 service. (Which gave me peace of mind)

5 Months down the line, I went to the BMW dealership... to schedule a service. (As the motor plan had to include the service) The BMW dealership told me that the car is not due for a service yet. (And that an extension of the motor plan would cost about R 18 000)... now 2 months later... the car is due for a service.

None of this was what I was expecting (or agreed to). Now I have to pay for a service in cash (The amount of which is ridiculous)... and I will have to take out a motor plan for the next year... of which the costs are way beyond affordable (We are talking R23 000 for 12 months). All of this would have been acceptable had the dealership informed me of exactly how things would happen. But ultimately, the deal was more important than a full assessment of the buyer's affordability.

I feel sad writing this review... I originally felt like these guys were on my side. But ultimately, the deal was sour as this type of problems arise within months of the purchase. Dealerships are supposed to be the experts... but they failed me so badly.
