SHUNNING RESPONSIBILITY!!

<p>My vehicle went in to the Glen Service Centre for Service on the 17th June 2016 without any challenges at all. The only thing is that it was due for service. On Friday the 08th July 2016, the vehicle started having a delayed start problem. It was taking a while to start.</p> <p> </p> <p>On Monday the 11th July, I had driven only 1/2 a kilometre on my way to work when the vehicle cut and delayed starting. The engine light was on and there was a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust pipe. The smoke was even staining the ground and there was a terrible smell coming through.</p> <p> </p> <p>The vehicle was towed into Hyundai the Glen the same morning and late afternoon they mentioned that they have a sample of fuel from my car and that my fuel is mixed with diesel. They refused to give me a courtesy vehicle, telling me that they don't have vehicles.</p> <p> </p> <p>As I had filled up at SASOL on the 04th July, they went to collect my fuel sample as per e-mail hereunder. The lab results have subsequently come back from SASOL as they were then implicated in the matter and they have proven Huyndai's theory wrong.</p> <p> </p> <p>Hyundai is now telling me that the foreman is testing my vehicle after a whole week of me being inconvenienced, without transport to work based on false claims. I have taken the matter up with their customer service, speaking to a lady by the name of Angelee. She has since advised that she will be responding to my e-mail in a few minutes and up till now, after hours on day five(5) I still have no news from any of the people from Hyundai.</p> <p> </p> <p>(SASOL's report appears hereunder)</p> <p>The CCTV cameras at the site was reviewed and it is confirmed that the petrol attendant did fill the vehicle fuel from the petrol nozzle. Please refer to attached photograph. Furthermore, the fuel slip (also attached) indicated that ULP93 did indeed pass through the nozzle. The possibility of wrong fuel being filled at the site can therefore be eliminated.</p> <p> </p> <p>In addition, a fuel sample was collected from Hyundai at The Glen yesterday morning. The sample was analysed by an independent laboratory. It can be confirmed that there are no traces of diesel and/or other foreign materials present in the sample from the client’s vehicle. The sample meets the critical specification requirements as per SANS 1598 which is the specification which all petrol being sold in SA has to adhere to. The fuel as received from the vehicle is considered to be fit for purpose and was unlikely to be the cause of the vehicle’s failure.</p> <p> </p> <p>Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.</p> <p> </p> <p>Rebecca Molongoana</p>
