Safety Concerns With Hyundai Grand i10

Good day,

I am looking for any assistance, I have a Hyundai Grand i10 2018 model. I have recently had a baby and with that I had to buy a car seat, so I have discovered that rear seatbelt is unable to secure the car seat as it supposed to. I then made an appointment with Hyundai Centurion for the 08 October 2019, the car was there from 09:00 am, I even left the car seat so it can be used as test subject. Throughout the day I have been making follow-up on the status of the vehicle, I would struggle to get hold of the service provider. That is not the point I am asking for assistance. Around 16:20 the Hyundai Centurion called to say the technician is done and found no problem with the rear seatbelt, I told the service adviser that can the technician be around when I collect the car to show me how to properly secure, maybe I missed something I thought. When I got there to collect the car I asked for the keys and I then I asked if the technician can meet at the car. I was told technicians are not allowed to meet with clients, but the technician manager will be sent rather. When I got to the car the car seat was strapped with the seat belt to demonstrate that the technician did look at my concern and found nothing wrong. But to my shock when I slightly pushed the car seat at the bottom it moved as there was nothing holding it. The technician manager (Albert Karelsen) came and still I told him my safety issue my child being in car seat that’s not secured. Albert pulled the seatbelt hard and said but the seatbelt does lock should the be any impact. I asked him what the car seat that is just moving freely like this? He responded by saying Hyundai didn’t manufacture the car seat – which true. Luckily, I was in another car, took the very same car seat into another car and I was able to secure it. Then Albert could only say that this are different car brands and their seatbelt is working. With evidence shown to Albert about the malfunctioning of the seatbelt, he still said there’s nothing he can do in this regard. I asked him a question, are you saying my family should continue to drive in an unsafe vehicle?

I called Hyundai head office on the 11 Nov 2019, I spoke to Tryan Brats, narrated the whole unbearable experienced on the 8th. Tryan just told me that it is the first time he is receiving a complaint about such thing and the car has met all standards before it could sold to customers. Hello Pete, please assist I am now stuck with a car my family cannot use because of safety concerns.
