Repairs on a new vehicle

Purchased a brand new I10, which I loved from day one. Currently on 72 000km's. First my gearbox was repaired, the workshop manager advised that it was factory fault. A few months later my clutch & pressure plate has to be repaired once again advised by the workshop manager that it's a "common fault". How does this happen to a brand new just over two years.
