Refusal to repair vehicle still on imp**** warrant
I bought a used BMW vehicle at Hyndai Midrand in August 2014 and it still had one service plan left.I took it for service in December at BMW Midrand. One month after this major service ON January 30 2015 the car broke down with a clutch and fly wheel problem.I complained to Hyndai who then told me to claim from my extended warranty which they had assisted me to take.My claim was rejected by the insurer on the grounds that the particular items are not covered.I went to Hyndai and told them that according to the Consumer act I have an imp**** warranty on this vehicle as it broke down within the six months after purchase.Hyndai have washed their hands off and told me to sort my issues. The bill is R 7500 and am still paying for the vehicle finance. They should pay for these repairs as per the law and not run away from their responsibility.Am being taken from pillar to post for a car worth R169 000.
