Poor Customer service
I took delivery on the above vehicle on 18TH December 2021 from Hyundai Umhlanga; On 12th June 2022, the vehicle refused to start having a mileage around 3700 km; Salesperson Imraan Mohamed was informed telephonically of the issue; On 13th June 2022 the vehicle was towed to Hyundai Springfield; On 14th June 2022 I physically went to the Hyundai Springfield dealership and was shocked to learn that my vehicle had not been looked at and my vehicle had been parked outside. It is important to note that the Hyundai Springfield dealership is less than 100 metres away from stores that were looted and burnt down during the July 2021 riots in KZN; The service advisor confirmed that it is an acceptable practice to have vehicles parked outside overnight. I would like formal confirmation in this regard that Hyundai Springfield will take liability for any damages arising from having my vehicle parked outside; Upon leaving the dealership my vehicle was still not diagnosed due to the workshop being busy, I can only assume that potential warranty claims are not prioritized at Hyundai even though as a customer I am left without a vehicle; At the time of sending this correspondence I have no indication as to when my vehicle will be repaired, nor has there been any form of contact from my salesperson Imraan. I must stress that the sale does not end once the commission has been earned; I have been unable to attend work since Monday 13th June 2022 due to not having any transport. Even more frustrating is that there is no indication as to when I will have a vehicle to report to work.
The vehicle has not even done 4000km and having such a fault on a brand new vehicle is unacceptable and can only imply the sale of a defective product.
HYUNDAI fails to give clear feedback as I am now left without a vehicle.
