Poor customer service at Hyundai Port Elizabeth and ultimately from Hyundai South Africa
My Hyundai Tucson has been booked in at the Hyundai Port Elizabeth dealership for 3 months now. It went in for system malfunction..... They still do not know what is wrong with the vehicle. I haven't heard from them in over a month. The dealer principal should have kept me informed at all times regarding progress but has not. The meetings I had with them was at my insistence, not theirs. I was afforded a courtesy car, at my insistence, which is not equivalent to the value of my car. I was told that I have a courtesy car and should therefore be satisfied.
How long should a vehicle take to be repaired before making a call to replace it or to pay out a customer? 3 months, 6 months or never? I have posed these questions to Hyundai and the response was that it is up to Hyundai South Africa to make the call.
Hyundai South Africa has also not come back with a resolution to my problem.
Is this good customer service? Where does this leave me, the consumer? I am expected to pay an instalment on a motor vehicle that has not been in my possession for 3 months.
