Pathetic service from Hyundai - Would not recommend

Good day

I trust that you are well.

This email serves to bring to your attention the disappointing service received from Hyundai Mobeni.

I purchased my very first vehicle from Hyundai Mobeni and took the car on 29 August 2019.

I was charged approximately R5000 for license and registration which was paid to the dealership and I have also been having some issues with the alarm system.

Over 3 months later, I have not received any feedback regarding my license and registration despite continuous messages to my Salesman, Prelyn.

Prelyn also advised that he would get a technician to look at my alarm which never happened.

As I received no joy from Prelyn, I emailed the financial manager approximately 2 weeks ago detailing my concerns. I received no response to this email until I sent a follow up email yesterday.

I was offered no apology and the gentleman who called me named Thomas was extremely rude. He called on my work telephone number and did not even attempt to contact me on my cellphone advising that he does not have this number.

Not sure how that is possible as my cellphone number is on all the paperwork that I filled out at the dealership. He cut me off and interrupted me on numerous occasions and I was not impressed with his attitude. He seemed to lack empathy and peoples s****s. As someone who works in a service based industry, I know that when a customer wants to speak about their frustrations you let them, especially when the issue is your fault. He also wanted me to send him my license registration and vin number and I am also not sure how he does not have this as the car was purchased from the dealership. He advised that he was only there for 1 month and that Prelyn had been promoted.

So if staff are promoted they do not finish their existing sales or at least hand over to someone competent? Is this the regular practice of Hyundai?

Prelyn then contacted my boyfriend yesterday advising that he does not have my cellphone number requesting my proof of address. You do not ask for personal documents from anyone else but the client. Since when is this acceptable?

My boyfriend does not have my proof of address, furthermore we are not married, just dating, I don't share all my personal information with him. Furthermore, what is the point of getting my 2019 license in 2020?

R5000 is a lot of money to pay for the license and registration and I assumed that it was also for the convenience of it all however this has been the most inconvenient and unpleasant experience especially considering that this is my first vehicle. I am certain that I will not purchase my next vehicle from Hynundai due to this experience.

This matter has been reported to the Finance Manager at Hyundai Mobeni and Refiloe onve 3 weeks ago and I have received no feedback from them to date.

I have proof as they were contacted via email. I have also recently learned that the amount of R5000 charged for admin is too high.

Urgent assistance required. Please can someone just give me my license.
