Misdiagnosis and Poor Service Experience

My recent experience with Stellenbosch Hyundai was extremely disappointing. I brought my car in for a gear-related issue, but the technicians misdiagnosed it as a timing chain problem. After agreeing to the repair, along with additional servicing, I was left without my car for an entire month.

When I finally got my car back, it was in worse condition than before, making it undrivable. Upon returning it to the dealership, I was informed that the issue was now attributed to the pistil, contradicting the initial diagnosis.

This inconsistency in diagnosis and failed repair attempts highlight a serious lack of competence within the technical team. Furthermore, having paid over R30,000 for services that not only failed to address the original issue but potentially made it worse is unacceptable.

I demanded a correct diagnosis and repair of my vehicle at no additional cost, along with the provision of a replacement vehicle until the issue is resolved. Unfortunately, my demands were not met satisfactorily.

Overall, my experience with Stellenbosch Hyundai has been frustrating and costly. I urge others to exercise caution when seeking services from this dealership. Now I am told to come and collect the car that is not even drivable. All I need is my money back and take the car to a competent mechanic.
