Keep Away from the Hyundai Venue

I bought a Hyundai Venue Jan 2020, my first brand new car and the excitement was beyond this world.

End Oct 2020 my car started making loud rattling noises (not always but constant enough to notice), I took it to the service department, they replaced a pulley. I took it back the next week with the same noise, my car was there for 3 weeks until they replaced the timing chain as there was a fault on and they were waiting for the part. The sound continued with an added swirling metal sound when driving and in Jan 2021 my car is back and standing for three weeks waiting for a part, according to feedback they need to replace an oil pump which will HOPEFULLY be available 5 Feb.

To have a brand new car for 1 year and 2 months of the year it is at a service department and no one really knows what is wrong is concerning. (I'm not even going to start with the extra financial burden to get to work and back it has cost me) Also the fact that everything gets replaced and is faulty is a HUGE concern.

Be careful when you buy a hyundai Venue, they do not have parts available and you will be left stranded with nothing. Also for someone with no car/mechanical experience it feels like there is some manufacturing fault with the venue seeing that no one has an answer and it is back and forth the whole time replacing whatever they think could be wrong with a brand new car.

The sad part is that I really love the Venue and still root for it to be fixed but if you do not want to go through all this schlep, keep away!
