It was so disappointing as they actually don’t care for the time and health of the customers!!

On 17 July 2017 and as part of regular maintenance service checklist on my car (Hyundai ix35) for 60000Km, an Air Pollen filter was reported missing by Hyundai Woodmead workshop. On 20 July 2017 and following the investigation done by the Hyundai Cedar branch, the workshop where the previous service (45000Km) has been done, it appeared that the mentioned filter was only part of the previous service check list which has to be done on every second service (every 30000Km) and therefore replacing of the filter has not been part of their checklist at Cedar branch for 45000Km.. Hence, I revert the query to the Hyundai Strydom Park branch where the previous service was done by them for 30000Km and asked for their advice.

On 21 July, since I haven't received a response on my email from Hyundai Strydom Park I escalated the issue to Huyndai Head office after-Sale customer care and on 24 July I received an email from Srydom Park branch asking for more information.

On 07 August, I received the following message from Hyundai Strydom Park offering me a discount of R680 under the condition if I visit their workshop at Stydom Park for service again next time! In response I explained that their offer will not work for my case I will still be able to use my service plan for maintenance purposes and therefore I will never be able to use this offer. I also reminded the Hyundai Strydom Park of my cash payment on the service they have done for me last year due to the reason that the car has passed the acceptable extra mileage for that service according to Hyundai procedures. Hence, I expect them to refund the price of the missing part and the labour they charged me which was almost about the R680 as they offered me earlier.

On 17 Aug 2017: I received the final reply from the both Hyundai Strydom Park and Head office not accepting their negligence on replacing the Air Filter!!?? This was so disappointing as they actually don’t care for the time and even health of their customers!!
