Is your service going down the drain

I am upset with the service I received at one of the service branches of hyundai. I made it a point to be at the service branch at 6:45 to be one of the first to have my car booked in not for a service but to have my door checked out as it was not locking the car. Normally it is required that me as a client calls ahead of time to avoid disappointment. I arrive at 6:45 and have my car booked in which is fine. What upset me was the fact that there had been no communication as to how far the service center is with my car until I call only to find out that my car hasn't been worked on as yet. And this was at 14:27. At that point I receive a message that my car is in the workshop after i made a call.I call again and the service consultant is busy so I leave a message. The service consultant eventually calls back at 16:26 and asks if I do not have another car I can use as the technician is still busy or else if I want the car I need to make sure that I am at the workshop the latest 16:50. Not even giving me a chance to ask whether the driver could pick me up as that is how I got to work in the first place. I rush to get there just to find out they are still busy which then causes another 20 minute delay. My car is a 2017 model so surely there should be some sort of warranty on other mechanics of the car because after having to deal with all that the service branch had thrown at me I had to get a quote of R1633. Most of it going for labour as the part that my car needs, the part which is also not in stock, is only R103. I must also point out that the consultant very quickly corrected it by reducing the amount to 958 but this is only after I questioned the amount, but for a fairly new car and to have something fixed that is beyond the owners control ,that is still abit steep.I haven't paid it yet as the part is not in stock, just thought I'd mention it.

Giving great customer service is what retains clients. How I feel after all of that is just to get my door fixed and then trading in my car. Maybe I'd get better treatment at VW.
