Hyunday service refu*****t

I had an issue with my Santa Fe while on a business trip in Somerset West, it wouldn't recognize me on approach, next morning not starting keyless, later afternoon not locking. I stopped at Somerset West dealer, a rather large dealership, and requested assistance, asking if it's the remote battery or programming. I was told they don't stock the remote batteries (...wow) and been directed to some backyard electronic shop to purchase one and bring it back to them to install in the key. 1. How did they know the remote battery was the problem if not even inspected, how did they know it's not a bigger problem? 2. Why was I not told to sit down, have a coffee while they get me a battery and check the system? 3. I am not from Cape town, have no idea where what there is and had to spent 30 min's driving around looking for this shop. 4. Why don't you stock the batteries on your top of the line vehicle?

I don't even have license plates on yet and already experiencing issues and severe lack of service.

2 Days later the infotainment system froze up, no response, no navigation, no nothing, it wouldn't even adjust the volume nor switch off, yes it stayed on through the night while the vehicle was off and locked.

My selling dealer in Grahamstown had to arrange a favor from Mosselbay to check the infotainment system out and reset it, something that could've and should've been checked and sorted at Somerset west.

What is going to happen when real issues occur somewhere in the country side, no for all I care you can come and get this junk vehicle and it will be the last Hyundai in my extended family and friend -circle if that's the service you provide.
