Hyundai warranty is a lie?

Just less than 2 years ago I had the drivers window mechanism replaced on my Hyundai i30 because it mysteriously broke. It has now half broken again!

When I took my car in for my annual service a few weeks ago, the folk at Hyundai Strijdom Park claimed that they couldn't figure out if there was warranty on the component, and didn't replace it or fix it! Apparently genuine Hyundai parts carry a 2 year warranty - is this a delay tactic to push me past the 2 years or was a ***** part installed in my car?

The dealership has not responded to my request for more info subsequent to them telling me they'd find out when I was there for a service. This is unacceptable and I don't want to pay another R5k to fix the mechanism if it breaks again when it should be under warranty!
