Hyundai Umhlanga and Hyundai Head office - dont care !!!

Buying a car from Hyundai Umhlanga / Gateway... ... After going through a dreadful experience from a previous garage which left me without a car and R10 000 short in cash I had no option to buy another car. I was referred by another dealership to Hyundai Umhlanga... I told the sales team about my shocking experience as well. So going from internal disputes between managers, which my daughter and I, as the customer got dragged into, then to get given a car which I was not happy with. Day 2 Hyundai Umhlanga was notifed. Had to wait days before they could take the car in to their workshop... 7 days cooling off period ticking, Told Hyundai Umhlanga really concerned about the 7 day cooling off period and they notify me back in writing, dont worry about the 7 day cooling off period. Took the car in, got the car back, same problem, not fixed. Notified Hyundai again... get told the same thing... book the car in..... take the car to another Hyundai dealership .... get warned of difference in paintwork on the car. Told it was in an accident. Nofify Hyundai again... that I have been informed as such. Take it to the AA at my cost. Again tell Hyundai I am not happy. Get the report back from AA.. find out more bad news..... notify Hyundai Head office in Johannesburg... notify Dealer Head / Principal of Hyundai...of my unhappiness... she tell me she was not aware of my unhappiness and therefore her staff have not disclosed the problems with the car or that I am unhappy.... I hand back the car due to ongoing problems and AA report.... Both Hyundai Gateway / Umhlanga Dealer Principal and Hyundai Head office come back... tif you are unhappy go to Motor Industry Ombudsman.. they even give me the phone number and email address....and told me I have to keep the car !!! I am told I have to keep the dud which they have sold to me. and I have to deal with shocking service and a non-care attitude. I guess once they have the sale you are on your own... so I as the customer am left not only a feeling of frustration, but have to worry about my two children having to get safely to university and back every day as to whether the car is going to break down on them, whether I will ever get my money back on this car with issues which were not disclosed to me, noises coming from the engine and a loan to pay off and no support from Hyundai Head Office or Hyundai Umhlanga / Gateway... So if you are wanting excellent customer service or that warm fuzzy feeling or you want to know that someone cares about you....... ummmmm I will leave it up to you to decide but dont look to them to care !!!

Hi Ricky, totall agree Hyundai dont care. Not even at Head office level. I say to others - THINK TWICE before buying a Hyundai. Good cars but their client service and their "WE CARE" attitude does not exits.
